Abstract

9337. Roberts, H. O., and Roberts, J. O., [trading as Roberts Bros.]. April 23. Games imitating tennis and badminton.-A table game, similar to table tennis, is played with nets provided with a cord above the nets. The cord is attached, by means of wire, to the uprights which support the net. In playing the game, the ball has to pass under the cord. The balls are struck by bats or by the hands. In modifications of the game, the ball must pass over the cord. The table net may be dispensed with, and the game consists in striking the ball over a cord stretched from one side of the room to the other, or in striking the ball between two such cords.
