Abstract
5543. Parker, E. A. March 7. Match boxes, holders for. The sides of a metal strip forming the holder 28 are bent three times at right-angles, so as to have spring to keep the box cover 27 steady, and also serve as a rest for the box 25 containing the matches 26, the upper half of which is exposed. The holder 28 may be bent so as to hold a single match box as in Fig. 11, or two boxes as in Fig. 5. It also carries a locking-lip 24 to engage the bottom of the box. Fig. 13 shows a form of holder fixed to the base by one screw. The sides of the holder 28 may be provided with a row of teeth 29, 30, as in Fig. 11, to prevent the removal of the box cover 27.
