Abstract

3248. Drost, A. Feb. 9. Wire-link chains. - The ends of weldless wire chain links are joined by looping one within the other. In the form shown in Fig. 1, one end is formed into a loop, through which the other end is passed, and then beaten or pressed flat, forming a rivet. The ends shown in Fig. 2 are wound spirally. According to Fig. 3, the ends form hooks, each of which engages the other end behind the hook.
