Abstract
21,900. Harris, F. Oct. 12. Dumb bells. - This consists of the usual form of dumb - bell, with an additional adjustable handle to admit of its being used for leg and foot exercises, and of varying the grip when used in the ordinary way. Arms 3, Fig. 1, are provided at the end of the handle 2, their ends being perforated to receive the bolt 5, which passes through one end of the handle 4 of oval section, as shown m the transverse section, Fig. 2. The handle may thus be rotated into any position on the bolt, and clamped by the thumb nut 6. The foot may be inserted between the handles 2 and 4, when the latter is in the position shown by the dotted lines in Fig. 2.
