Abstract

21,385. Childs, E. Oct. 1. Supports.-A support for motor cycles, cycles, and vehicles comprises two stems a, the extremities of which are pivotally carried at c in brackets d on the frame e of the machine. The stems have abutments or arms f, adapted to engage the pin-stops g on the brackets. On lifting the rear end of the cycle and turning the stand back. it may be secured to the mud guard h or to the frame ; or clips, within which the stand may be held, may be provided on the rear member i. The abutments might be placed on the frame of the machine and the pins on the stands, and the stems may be so provided as to move transversely into their disengaged position. The Provisional Specification states that, instead of stops and abutments, a rack-and-pawl or pin-and-slot device may be employed.
