Abstract

13,116. Feeny, V. F., [Abwõrme-Kraftmaschinen-Ges.]. June 9. Vapour engines. - Relates to an evaporator which can be worked with as large a heating-surface and as small a quantity of liquid as possible. The heating is effected by steam, hot gases, &c.which enter at d, Fig. 1, pass through the tubes k, and escape at e. The liquid to be evaporated enters at g, flows over the partitions f<1>, f<2>, f<3> and down the spaces left between them and the tubes k, as shown in Fig. 2. Unevaporated liquid flows away at h. The vapours evolved pass into the perforated pipe i. The invention is specially applicable to evaporators for cold vapour engines.
