Abstract
3852. Arnholt, G. A. W. July 2, A.D. 1901, [date applied for under Patents Act, A.D. 1901]. Smoke-consuming.-Products of combustion from a steam-boiler furnace are drawn off through the pipe 9 and delivered, with air entering at 8, to the ashpit and through the passage 11 in the bridge wall to the space above the fire. Superheated steam is introduced into the pipe 7 by tne pipe 13, which conducts steam from the boiler in a circuitous course through the flues and the upper part of the furnace. A discharge flue, with a damper, is provided as shown in dotted lines.
