Conveyers.-A conveyer or transporter belt is made by folding a number of plies so that the edges of the upper plies are nearer the middle than those below, stitching along the edges of the plies, as at e, and elsewhere, if necessary, and then covering the whole and filling in the space x with rubber &c., which is finally vulcanized. By this construction, the middle of the belt has increased flexibility and greater depth of wearing-surface.
