Abstract

The regulating-lever i of a clutch lamp, carrying movable cores in series and shunt solenoids e, f, is linked to a pivoted cut - out arm r<2>, which makes contact with the insulated core of a horse-shoe electromagnet r if the arc fails. This core is connected through the coils of the magnet r to a third terminal on the lamp, connected to a substitutional resistance.
