Abstract
16,847. Wright, R. O. Aug. 22. Cleats or holders for the conducting cords of electric pendent lamps. The lamp-holder is provided with an additional cord-grip, consisting of two grooved blocks d, Fig. 1, which are clamped on the cord by two screws, and are connected by metal strips or wires c to a complete ring or part of a ring b, this being secured by the ordinary shadeholding nut f on the lamp-holder. The ordinary cord grip in the lamp-holder may be dispensed with. In another arrangement, Fig. 4, two zigzaggrooved blocks d are secured in the top of the lamp-holder, and tightened on the cord by screws or bolts.
