Abstract

4544. Simpson, S. March 4. Gas cooking - stoves. -The stove, which may be constructed as described in Specification No. 18,567, A.D. 1900, is provided with a lining c, preferably corrugated, at the top of the oven, and, if desired, with side and back liners a, b also. The top chamber thus formed is provided with vertical baffle-plates f, f<1>, so that the hot gases, entering through A from the oven, pass by a circuitous route to the side chambers, from which they pass through openings i to the back chamber, and thence to the chimney j. The side chambers may also be corrugated, and have baffle-plates. The waste gases may be used to heat water by passing them through flues arranged in a boiler. This boiler may be placed at the side of, or on top of, the stove. The air and gas supply tubes may pass through the spaces formed by the liners and the casing.
