The bat may be made of a single piece of wood, or of a number of pieces glued together. According to the Provisional Specification, supports for table-tennis nets are made of broad pieces of wood carrying downwardly-projecting arms, which are connected under the table by elastic. The net is made adjustable in length by means of hooks and eyes.
