Locking nuts.-Nuts 2 for rail joints &c. are locked to their washers 7 by a pin on pins 12, which are driven into channel in the washer so as to bear against the sides of an ordinary nut, as shown in Fig. 11,'or against teeth or projections 4, 5, 6 formed on a boss 3 on the lower side of the nut.
