Abstract
1748. Davidson, J. E. Jan. 25. Packing-cases for tea and the like, fabrics, millinery, &c. consist of parts which are formed of two or more ply of veneer, the grains of which cross. The parts constituting the sides overlap, as shown in Fig. 2, and are connected by serrated corner plates, as shown in Fig. 1. To the top and bottom are secured, on the inside, open frames c, the parts of which are of triangular section, and adapted to fit tightly within the sides, which are nailed to them.
