15,945. Jelly, T. G., and Glenn, T. Sept. 7. Hubs; spokes.-Relates to tangent wire-spoke wheels for velocipedes and other vehicles. In the form shown in Figs. 1 and 2, each flange b of the hub c is formed with loops d through which the spokes g<1>, g<2> are threaded. Each spoke is rather larger than the diameter of the wheel, and it may he screw-threaded at the ends and middle part. The loops may be on either face of each flange or on the periphery. In the modification shown in Fig. 6, each hub flange b has a turned-over cylindrical edge h, provided with holes i, of which each adjacent pair is adapted to receive a spoke g<1>, doubled as shown in Fig. 8. The holes may be replaced by slots, the spokes being then straight except for a short depressed middle part. Spokes of the latter form may be employed with hub flanges having only the ordinary spoke holes. The depressed parts of the spokes preferably lie in a circular groove which connects the spoke holes.
