Knives, cleaning and polishing. -Knives are placed back to back in pairs on the board A, Fig. 3, and are secured in place by the wire B and pivoted bridge H. Knife powder is applied, and the knives are cleaned with a brush provided with leather guards K, Fig. 2, to prevent the scattering of the powder. The tridge H may be replaced by a second wire similar to B, or by small metal plates adapted to hold each knife handle in position at the edge of the board.
