Abstract
14,948. Boult, A. J., [White, R. H.]. Aug. 21. Instantaneous generators.-Water is delivered into the uppermost of a series of flat spiral or like coils of tubing 1 ... 5, and steam is withdrawn from the lowest. The coils are connected together by inverted siphon tubes, to prevent water from flowing by gravity to the most t highly heated coils ; orsome only of the coils may be so connected, the remainder being connecteddirectly. The lower coils thus serve as superheaters. The pipes of each coil are preferably opposite to the spaces of the next. A gas burner for heating the generator is shown at 6.
