21,710. Wootton, J., Staley, J., and Parker, J. Oct. 31. Moulding sinks, saggers, &c.-The mouthpiece or die Aof a pipe-making or extrusion machine caries a loose ring or mould B, which rests on bevelled ribs b<1> of the balanced table C. A core D is attached to a central vertical rod and rests on bevelled ribs d of the table C. The table is locked in the position shown in Fig. 1 until clay is forced past an adjustable distributing block or core F into the mould and die. The table is then released and descends, and the mould A falls to an extent limited by the suspension bolts, in order to allow a cutting-wire to be drawn between the mould an J die for the purpose of cutting off the article. Loose pattern plates b<3> may be inserted in the sides of the mould for the purpose of producing ornamental designs round the sink or article.
