Abstract
11,768. Jensen, P., [Agnew, W. I.]. June 6. Nozzles; spray-producers.-Relates to fire-hose nozzles adapted to throw a straight stream or a spray of large diameter at will. The nozzle comprises a central stream pipe 4, surrounded by an annular passage 3, and a valve chamber 1 in which work two valves 10, 11, adapted to close the pipe 4 only or the whole of the nozzle as required. The valve 11 has a small hole 14, which may be used to deliver a small stream. A ring 7 is loosely mounted on the pipe 4, and carries an adjustable ring 9 for deflecting the annular stream at any desired angle, the volume of the spray being regulated by a screwed sleeve 6.
