Abstract

23,179. Davis, H. W. Nov. 4. Metal pipes and tubes.-Copper or other metal pipes and tubes are coated or lined with lead to enable them to resist corrosion. A tapered mandrel is coated with lead by any ordinary process, and is then electrolytically covered with a deposit of copper. A lead-coated pipe is similarly produced. The pipe may be rotated while in the electrolytic bath, and may be rubbed, pressed, or burnished.
