14,350. Bishop, W. June 29. Cranks.-T h e crank is made in two parts 4 and 6. The part 4 is fixed to the axle 5, and is formed with side flanges to receive the part 6, which is pivoted at 7 and carries the pedal. When the cycle is in use, the part 6 rests against the part 4, and is locked in position by a spring bolt 8, or by bolts and nuts &c. When released, the part 6 may be swung into the position shown, so t h a t the pedals project inwards, in order to reduce the width of the cycle.
