8608. Waggoner, E. P. April 13. Steam separators.-Relates to apparatus for removing water, oil, and the like from steam or other fluids. Fig. 3 shows a sectional plan. Within a casing with inlet and outlet branches b<3>, b<4> are disposed frames A with vertical bars having U-shaped baffle-surfaces. These in each bar, as shown by the vertical section in Fig. 5, form pockets communicating with a vertical duct through which the deposited oil or water may flow into a receptacle below. By this means the liquid is prevented from again coming into contact with the steam or other fluid after being once separated.
