630. Gilmour, J. Jan. 10. Vertical and water-tube boilers. -Relates to boilers of the kind described in Specification No. 25,287, A.D. 1896, in which water-tubes are arranged in removable sections. As shown in Fig. 2, three sets of straight inclined tubes are secured at each end into independent water chests c, k, which are inserted in openings through the water space surrounding the firebox. Each water chest is connected by a removable pipe having a stop cock with the top or bottom of the main water space.
