Abstract
28,967. Dedrick, F. H. Dec. 7. Locking nuts.-Nuts for railway rails &c. are locked by a pawl 6 engaging with ratchet teeth formed on a flange 3 round the nut 2. The pawl has an eye at one end to fit over the next bolt and a shoulder 10 which lies in a free space between the flange 3 and the fishplate. The last pawl on the left is held by a bolt or rivet.
