28,201. Prym, A. Nov. 30. Buckles for waistband straps, belts, &c. are formed with hinged frames. Fig. 4 shows a plan of such a frame open. The strap e is attached to a slotted plate a to which is hinged at a' a dished plate i having two pins or prongs i<2> which, when the two plates are folded together, pass through the free end of the strap and engage in holes a<3>. The strap may either pass straight through the closed buckle frame or may be deflected by the hinge bearing.
