Hubs.-Relates to the steering-wheels of mechanically-propelled carriages, and consists in inserting between the fixed axle-tree and the swivelling axle or axle-box, as the case may be, a steel spring or rubber pad. Fig. 1 shows as an example the application of the invention to a centrally-pivoted steering-wheel. Between the pivoted axle-box C and the fixed axle H are inserted rubber pads F, F<1>, ball bearings E being provided between the bearing plates, and the wheel hub and short axle being constructed as shown.
