12,228. Whitaker, J. H. May 18. Stands for holding bicycles for cleaning &c. Three or more legs A', A<2> are braced together by pieces B', B<2>, and support a bed piece which projects at right-angles to the piece B<2>, and upon which the bottom bracket or other part of the bicycle frame rests. Two uprights D, E rise from the frame, and between them are clamped the frame members. The upright E is hinged, or hollowed at E', so that it may be forced towards the upright D by a screw F. A sliding block H, H<1>, for receiving the top tube of a bicycle, is arranged to slide in the upper end of the upright D. Recesses are formed in the stand to receive and hold the front wheel, when desired. The parts which come into contact with the bicycle frame may be covered with felt &c K. The legs A', A' and braces B<1>, B<2> may be hinged or otherwise connected so that they may be folded.
