Grooves f are formed round the inner faces of the wheels a to receive the turned-up edges of closing-discs e to exclude dusi and dirt. In a modification, the connecting-rods are dispensed with and the pedals are fixed directly to the wheels a; in this case the frame is shortened and constructed to bring the saddle vertically over the pins b.
