Chairs, seats and stools, tables, &c.- The seat F and cross-bar D on the legs are braced together by a hollow ferrule B and a bolt A having a head and square neck and a nut E. In case the seat is formed of a caned frame or rim, a metal frame fixed to the rim is braced to the cross-bar by a bolt. Fig. 2 shows a modified arrangement, which allows the seat to be adjusted by the screw J and nut K. In Fig. 3 the seat has four pillars M which are fixed by clamps 0 operated by a screw N. In the case of tables, each pair of legs has a cross-bar or brace A, B.
