Abstract

Cameras, baseboard and tailboard extensions and like fittings for.-The focusing-scale is marked on a circular disc, which is angularly displaced in proportion to the rectilinear displacement of the obpective-carrying slide. In the form shown as applied to a folding-camera, the slide 7 carrying the camera objective carries also a rotary disc 1 fast with a pinion 2 meshing with a toothed sector 3, which turns on a pivot 5 carried by the slide 7, and has a slotted extension engaging a stud 4 on the folding baseboard 9. The play of the gears may be reduced by mutilating the sector 3 as at 6 to render it resilient. The sector is controlled by a spring 10, and its angular displacement is limited by a stop 8. The focusing-scale is marked on the periphery of the disc 1, and is read, against a fixed mark, through a slot 12 in the slide 7.
