Joints and connections; fixing furniture to floors.-An attachment means to be embedded in wood or like yielding material, comprises two or more sockets a united by a single integral flange b. The frame e of a chair may be secured to the flooring m by bolts k, passing through the sockets a and engaging nuts l, or, as shown in Fig. 4, the sockets a may be engaged by nuts n to secure the attachment means to the floor, bolts d, engaging internal threads in the sockets, holding the frame e in place.
