Abstract
183,626. Peacock, T., and Newman & Guardia, Ltd. May 13, 1921. Focusing-devices.-Relates to a collapsable hood for attachment to the rear of a camera, of the kind provided with a lens for viewing the focusing-screen, and consists (1) in mounting the lens on a flap foldable within the hood and (2) in tapering the hood at its forward end to permit it to be fitted into the existing focusing-hood of the camera. In the form shown, the hood comprises a casing 1 of rectangular cross-section, which preferably tapers at 6 from front to rear and has collapsable sides 5 so that it may be folded flat. In the rear end is a flap 9 which carries the viewing lens 10, and is hinged at 11 so that it may be folded into the position shown in dotted lines. The flap fills the cross-section of the casing, and is drawn into operative posi. tion by a ribbon 13 passing through a slit in the bottom board 7.
