Abstract

No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid) Oppositely-running rotor type; screw motors; working-fluid supply; regulating.-Two oppositely-rotating wind-wheels 7, 8 driving a vertical shaft 11 through bevel-gearing and mounted on a turn-table are enclosed in a casing 12 provided with a flared mouth 13 and having vanes 14 pivoted on radial axes which close under the action of a governor 16 or hand control 23, 24. The windmill is turned into the wind by means of a tail carrying a wind-wheel 25 which drives gearing 2S meshing with a circular rack 29 on the turn-table support. The closing vanes 14 are connected to a conical or stream-line casing 19 moving axially under the action of the governor or hand control. The wheel 8 may be of greater area than the wheel 7 to transmit equal power.
