Tyre covers, tools for removing and replacing. -A lever a, hinged to an angle bracket b which is apertured at d to fit over the wheel axle, a bench-bolt &c., is formed with a squared portion a<1> on which plates e, g are adapted to slide. The plate e, which is formed with an off-set lug e<2> to engage the wheel rim, serves to raise the edge of the tyre cover above the rim flange, the curved plate g forcing the cover into position as the device is turned about the centre d with the plate e in advance of the plate g. To remove a tyre, the lug e<2> is engaged under the tyre edge and the tool rotated in the opposite direction.
