Abstract

Jacks.-Four screw-jacks h are arranged one at each end of a pair of frames d for raising and lowering a load or load platform from or on to a vehicle run between the frames. The two jacks on one frame are actuated simultaneously from one crank-handle, which mav be placed on either of two spur-wheels n<1> according to the load. The four jacks may be geared together, e.g. through two vertical shafts and a transverse shaft below ground level. The jacks may be worked by power.
