Abstract

175,444. Yamamoto, T. Nov. 25, 1920. Protective devices, external, for supporting a vacuum flask consist of a cylindrical part 2 having strips 3, 6, formed in the upper part and attached to the outside thereof respectively. The strips 3 are bent at 4, 5, to engage the flask 1 and the outer casing 11, and the strips 6 at their upper ends are connected to the casing 11 and at their lower ends are adapted to be bent over the end of the cylindrical part 2 to hold a cupped base 7 in position. The flask rests on a sheet 12 of cork, felt, &c. placed on the base 7. Slits 14, 14<1> may also be provided in the cylindrical part 2 to enable this part to be bent over if the flange of the cupped base passes well inside the part 2.
