Abstract

175,212. Taylor, G. April 15, 1921. Eyes, artificial.-An artificial eye is constructed so that the pupil appears to dilate in a dull light in a natural manner. As shown, the pupil comprises a glass head 2 suitably coloured and situated in front of a layer of pigment 3 which forms the iris and covering a central glass disc 4. In bright light the eye appears to have a pupil the size of the bead 2, while in dull light the pupil appears to be of the size of the disc 4.
