Percussive hand tools.-A hand-supported power tool H is provided with a pressure bar B containing a spring D which is put under compression before being brought into use, and may be held by a latch Y. The arrangement takes some of the weight off the workman's hands. A modified device shown in Fig. 2 comprises a bar U, which may be a leaf spring, connected to a coiled spring F, for which a conterweight, such as the motor actuating the tool, may be substituted.
