Abstract
171,940. M³ller, H. March 30, 1921. Aninimals.-A toy animal or figure has its head supported in such a manner that it can be turned in any direction without friction between it and the body. The stuffed figure, shown in Fig. 1, has the body closed at the neck by a dished plate b. A tube c, rotatably connected to the plate b, projects through a slot in a similar plate K which closes the lower ends of a casing h inserted in the head. The head is mounted on an axle i passing through the tube c and is thus free to move without contact between the plates band k. A rod f, passing through the tube and projecting through a slot, is connected by a pin o to the casing h and also to the tail of the figure, so that the head can bemoved in any direction by means of the tail. The body a is made of cloth and is secured to the plateb by means of pointed projections l, Fig. 4, which are passed through the cloth and are then bent down. Thus the body can be stuffed through the neck and the stitching of all the seams of thecloth is concealed.
