Abstract

171,901. Kemp, W. C. Nov. 24, 1920. Globes; shades.-Some or all of the panes of a bowl or shade for lighting purposes are formed with bevelled edges so that, when assembled, the adjoining edges are concealed by a lead framework. In one form, principally flat panes 1, preferably formed of translucent material, are formed with bevelled edges 3 so that the adjoining edges are concealed bv a lead frame work 2. In a second form, the panes are formed mainly of shells, for example mother of pearl, the interstices between the shells being filled with flat panes of glass bevelled at the edges.
