Feeding webs. - In machines wherein fabric requires to be conducted in a central path, electrical signalling devices are provided on both sides of the machine which operate, when the cloth deviates laterally from its central position. In the device shown, the cloth, which normally passes between the adjustably-mounted ball j and the table e, breaks the electric contact between them; if the cloth moves laterally out of its path, the ball coming in contact with the table e closes the circuit and operates a signal such as a bell or lamp.
