Abstract

167,713. Turnock, G. Dec. 1, 1920. Contacts.-In an electric fuse holder the fuse terminals have an extension which is pressed into contact with the fusible element and the clamping means also secure the terminal contact blades in place on the fuse carrier. The fuse carrier comprises two parts a, c each having a cavity containing an asbestos &c. pad. The fuse terminals have contact blades h, projections h<4> around which the fuse wire is bent, and strip extensions h<3> against which it lies. The blades h pass through slots in the member c and bolts and nuts f clamp all the parts together, compressing the wire and its terminal connections between the asbestos pads j, l.
