Abstract
167,418. Dieck, H. Oct. 4, 1920. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Fixing.-Hoes and like tools are fixed to their handles, by means of a channel-shaped socket fixed to the blade or tool, in which the handle is fixed by one or more clamping-screws passing through nuts carried by lugs projecting from the walls of the socket. The channel-shaped socket a has one or more pairs of lugs a<1> projecting from its side walls in which are fixed nuts e or e' for clamping-screws f or g. The screws bear against plates c or d formed with eans by which they are guided between the lugs a<1>, and these plates bear against the handle b in the socket. The screws may have fly heads as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, or be operated by a tool h, Fig. 5.
