Abstract

166,626. Fausset, W. M. March 11, 1920. Fittings, internal; partitioned boxes. - A box. trunk, &c. is provided with means for holding in any desired position one or more shelves, trays, &c. f, the means comprising pivoted racks b, urged inwardly by springs d, arranged at the four vertical corners of the box, and adapted to engage the corners of the shelves, which are fitted with metallic edgings f<1>. According to the Provisional Specification, fixed racks may be fitted on two opposite sides of a box &c. and engaged by pinions mounted at the corners of the shelves &c., catches being provided for preventing rotation of the pinions and so retaining the shelves &c. in any desired position. An arrangement of threaded vertical corner spindles passing through the trays and adapted by being turned to raise or lower them, is also described.
