Post files; locking-followers; sheets.-A loose. leaf binder of the kind having filing-posts at. tached to a base member and carrying an adjust. able upper member comprises a fixed post near one end of the base member and a pivoted post near the opposite end. The upper and base members 21, 10, Fig. 2, ane of hollow formation and provided with end plugs 18. The member 10 is provided near one end with a fixed' post 11 and near the other end with a post 12 pivoted at 13 to fall over into a hollow 14 formed in the member, the plug 18 being forked for the purpose. A screw 22, Fig. 7, operated by a detachable key, is rotatably mounted in the upper member 21, and on rotation actuates a wedge 23 to move sliding blocks. 24, provided with V-shaped ends, into or out of engagement with the posts, which pass through holes 31. If desired, the blocks 24 may be dispensed with, and the wedge extended to cause its edges 32 to act directly on the posts, in which case the wedge is made hollow and is provided with a centre block to engage the screw. The leaves are provided with slots extending inwardly from opposite edges near the binding-edge. In filing, the upper member 21 is removed to allow the post 12 to fall into the position 12<1>, Fig. 2, one of the slots in the leaf is passed round the post 11 and tbe other arranged above the fallen post 12, which is finally raised and the upper member positioned and locked on the posts.
