Abstract

166,152. Sneyd, W. C., and Young, H. E. Oct. 2, 1916. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Non-metallic elastic bodies and cores.-An elastic tvre, stated to be for use on bassinets, rickshaws, and like vehicles, is made by winding a strip b of proofed bias-fabric with inclined ends about a tubular rubber core a. A plug h of rolled fabric is fitted in one end of the core which is laid on one edge of the flat strip b, the core and strip being then folded to circular form and the plug entered in the opposite end of the core. The winding is then carried out to produce a tyre of the cross-section shown in Fig. 6.
