Liquid-level pressure gauaes.-A pressure gauge particularly applicable for indicating the depth of liquids wherein the measurement of the head of pressure is effected by weighing liquid displaced comprises a U-tube one limb of which is adapted to be coupled to a source of gaseous pressure and the second limb is in communication with a movable container or overflow vessel suspended or supported by springs, the cross-sectional area of - the tube and container being so proportioned that throughout the movement of the container the level of the indicating-liquid remains constant. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the second limb of the U-tube 22 terminates in a siphon 21 dipping into a container 20 suspended by springs 23 and which may be fitted with a pointer co-operating with a scale or carry a pen or pencil to mark a chart mounted on a rotatable drum. In the form shown in Fig. 3, the second limb is formed with a reservoir 24 into which dins a siphon 25 connected with a container 27 vented at 30 and suspended by springs 28. In further modifications, the siphon limbs may be duplicated and dip into two similar vessels 20 or into a pair of reservoirs 24 communicating with a single container 27.
