Table games.-Apparatus for playing a game of skittles comprises a base a, Fig. 1, having vertical walls b and side walls c and one or more rows of skittles f which are hinged or pivoted to the front edges of the vertical walls so that the skittles can only be displaced by the return swing of a suspended ball m. The skittles may either be hinged within recesses in the walls or spaced apart by blocks g on the walls. In a modification, the spacing blocks g, Fig. 6, are slid upon the dovetailed tops of the vertical walls, and the skittles are pivotally mounted upon a rod q, which passes through the spacing-blocks. The end blocks are fixed by pins inserted in the holes t, t'. The positions and the number of the skittles in the rows may be varied by removing the rod and using spacing-blocks of varying sizes. In another arrangement, the skittles f, Fig. 7, are hinged upon blocks i fitted within the dovetailed slots formed in the base a, and in a further arrangement they may be hinged directly to the base. The skittles may be of varying shapes and colours, and may bear numerals for scoring purposes. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 16809/08.
