Abstract

164,622. C. L. I. Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Watson, E. A. June 11, 1920. Brackets, lamp.-A bracket for carrying a lamp and battery-box on a motor-cycle comprises a pair of arms A clipped near their centres to the handle-bar Z and carrying at one end an attachment for a lamp G and at the other end a similar attachment for a battery-box D. For protecting the battery from road vibration, the rear parts of the arms carrying the battery-box may be of resilient material in the form of leaf-springs. The clips B for securing the arms to the handle-bar are shown in Figs. 3 and 4, and comprise a band B2 which passes round the handle-bar and is attached to a block B3 at the end of a screw B4' A clip-member B, which secures the arms A fits over the screw B4 and is tightened simultaneously with the band B2 by the nut B6. The ends of the arms A have clips F for supporting the lamp and battery-box, which clips are tightened so as to grip the arms and prevent the lamp and box from tilting by tightening a single nut E.
