Abstract

163,888. Davison, F. April 24, 1920. Planting-tools. - A planting- implement of the type having a pair of ground-penetrating curved blades 2, each provided with a handle 3 and pivoted to the other, is provided with means whereby the soil lifted by the implement is ejected positively from between the blades. A plunger plate 4 slides loosely between the blades and carries two vertical rods 5 which are secured to a footplate 6 provided with slots to take the handles 3. An adjustable depth gauge 8 adapted to engage the. foot-plate when the implement is pressed into the ground is fitted on one of the handles.
